Subject:            Warrant Article request to swap equal square footage of 
land between Lot  626 -0 (Town of Long Island)   and 627-0  owned by the  
United Methodist Church in order to improve frontage of Lot 626 to 100 feet by  
realigning the boundary between the two properties. 
Gentlemen; 
I am requesting the placement of an article for the Warrant of this May’s  
Town Meeting as we have previously discussed.      The YRHCorp has  agreed to an 
equal square footage swap of land with the Methodist Church which will give 
us 100 feet of  frontage on Leavitt  Street so that we do not have to seek any 
variances  to build on this land.  We also  believe the Church benefits with 
this boundary shift as it puts a Church  outbuilding back on their property. 
I am using verbiage similar to that we used last year for a different  swap.  
Feel free to modify any way  you see fit.   Your  recommendation for a YES 
vote on this article would be  appreciated. 
Article ##        To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Selectmen to 
allow a  transfer of equal square footage of lands (about 500 sq. ft.?) 
between Lot  626-0, owned by the Town of Long Island and authorized for use by the 
Year Round  Housing Corporation’s “Lease-Homestead” Program with abutting Lot 
627-0 owned by  the United Methodist Church.   All costs of this transfer to 
be borne by the Year Round Housing  Corporation. 
The Board of  Selectmen recommend a “YES” vote
